Believe it or not, we have had inquires from Auckland, Taihape and New Plymouth. We love fare field inquires because it’s cool to see the name being spread out there. However, right now we are focusing on the Hutt Valley region of Wellington. The reason for this is that our office and a large majority of our works are based in Upper Hutt.
We have a rule of thumb that we don’t want a job to be more than 30 minutes away from the office. One of the reasons for that is that we like to be in touch with everything that is happening on site. I’ve learnt the hard way that if a job is too far away from the office it becomes harder and harder to check in with what’s happening on-site and stay on top of on-site progress. This means that a job that would usually take 5 or 6 months can take 7 or 8 months.
often without site checks with just slip and it’s harder to solve problems if and when they arise. When a job is further away often those problems are handled over the phone and will we have the ability to do that nothing bets being on site. decisions can be made faster and that’s really what pushes the job along.
